Les histoires
que l’on se conte

Centre d'exposition Circa, Montreal 2003

A site-specific installation dealing both concretely and metaphorically with notions of interior and exterior. The windows are like eyes and act as filters. The three groups of images are different ways of perceiving the world but also of being in or experiencing the world. I wanted them to illustrate the ways we relate to time and the passing of time. The first set of windows suggests interior time, both psychological and psychic; the second set presents active and measurable time and the last, abstract time in the form of an organic grid, the perception of which can fluctuate depending of our position in space.
