Installation
Printed latex ballons 18 inches in diameter, helium, fishing weights and strings.
The show starts with over 100 almost transparent balloons floating 2.75 meters above the ground. Over the course of the exhibition, they slowly descend, shrink and become more opaque as the helium gradually escapes. All the balloons have the same phrase running around their circumference. They are printed with a quote from John Maynard Keynes – “In the long run, we are all dead.” The introduction of a digital frame allows comparison between the live experience (where one cannot go back) and a previously recorded version of the same thing.
